Caddie program
Caddie at Elgin Country Club
For more than 90 years our caddie program has given community youth meaningful summer employment.
Join us this summer
Candidates receive a copy of the caddie manual with information to help them succeed, and on-course, in-person training is provided to all candidates. Training sessions are unpaid, but what candidates learn helps them put forth their best effort. Caddies make valuable connections with our members and can earn good pay each golf season.
Elgin members proudly support the Evans Scholars Foundation, which uses caddying, the game of golf and the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies to prepare young men and women for a lifetime of success. In the past 13 years our members have sponsored 15 caddies who were awarded full housing and tuition college scholarships.
Congratulations, 2024 Evans Scholars

"…a life-changing decision that I am so grateful to have made. Elgin members have made me feel a part of a community rather than an employee."
